A rigid person has learned to be more flexible -- why not give them a second shot?
A difficult personality who used to figure more prominently in your life than they do now has learned to be a lot more flexible -- so if they make overtures to come back into your life, you should seriously consider giving them a second shot. You know from personal experience that people can change, and your generous heart cannot let you pass up the chance to see it proven yet again. Open up your life just a little bit to let this person show you who they have become.
